A six-year-old child was seriously injured on Sunday in Saint-Nicolas when he fell from an inflatable castle at the Jungle Jump Days festival, the East Flanders public prosecutor’s office said, confirming information from Het Laatste Nieuws. According to the newspaper, the child fell from a height of three meters, in circumstances that are still unclear.
The child was taken in critical condition to Ghent University Hospital, according to the daily.
