Authentic
Sevdaliza makes experimental pop with various influences from other genres. She fuses this into her own recognizable sound. In the meantime, she has released several singles and two albums. She also provided Lowlands with an energetic authentic Sevdaliza show. The world can’t get enough of powerhouse Sevdaliza and her own style.
Protest
Sevdaliza indicates that her whole life is actually a protest and she expresses that in her art; her music and accompanying video clips. In this way she shares her development over the years. She criticizes stereotypes about femininity in our society, such as in the track ‘Human’. But this also comes back in her latest hit ‘Alibi’: “Can you remember when the last time was/You felt safe in the dark?/This world was never meant for a woman’s heart/But still, you rise through it all.”
