42 cars burned on the Gefco site in Ghislenghien: arson or not?

The firefighters quickly brought the disaster under control, without being able to prevent the destruction of several vehicles; but cars were able to be moved away and secured. The origin of the disaster is unknown; the destroyed cars seemed to be next to each other.

Ath police officers made the required findings.

During the summer of 2022, Gefco was acquired by CMA CGM Group to integrate the logistics subsidiary of this group, CEVA Logistics. In Benelux, Gefco has thirteen offices, including four in Belgium: in Zeebrugge, Antwerp, Braine-l’Alleud and Ghislenghien with a large storage area that can accommodate more than 10,000 vehicles.
