Judith Godrèche evokes a young theater actress “abused by someone famous”

Judith Godrèche explained at length the difficulties for actresses, actors and technicians, victims of sexual and gender-based violence, to speak out. “It’s a small environment, they’re afraid of never working once more.” She then mentions the case of a young actress “who has just finished her theater studies and who was abused by someone famous. When I speak with her, there is the fear of speaking, of the power of this person. There is this phrase that comes up often: but he is so loved.”
Judith Godrèche then told him “everyone knows regarding this person. And, she tells me, I’m not going to be known for this […] like a victim.
She also mentions the financial difficulties for young victims to respond in court when the alleged perpetrator attacks them for defamation following filing a complaint. “Is it possible to make laws to have access to a fund that helps victims.” “What most abusers do is they sue the victims for defamation. I am in contact with many victims who cannot afford lawyers.”
