Kuwaiti actress Shams sparked controversy among tweets on the social networking site, following she appeared in a live broadcast video with one of the Gulf media – it turned out to be the journalist Ali Al-Issa – and asked her to marry him.
Shams Al-Kuwaiti said in the video, “Come, you marry me,” to reply, “By God, I agree,” to tell him, “We are on the air… I refuse.”
Shams Al-Kuwaiti recently sparked controversy with her statements, as she refused to go through the experience of motherhood and shocked the audience with her reaction when asked regarding childbearing.
In the video clip, in response to a question regarding her desire to become a mother, Shams Al-Kuwaiti replied, “No, I do not want to be a mother. If I wanted, I would have become pregnant, but what I want.”
Opinions were divided among the public, some of whom considered that she meant controversial statements and deliberately stirred controversy with them, while others saw that she was keen to show her strong personality and described her as a rebel.
