The funeral of the father of the journalist, Sherif Amer, from the Police Mosque in Sheikh Zayed, took place shortly following the followingnoon prayer.
A number of public figures and colleagues of the media, Sherif Amer, participated in the funeral prayer, the most prominent of whom was the media Amr Adib, as well as family members.
The media, Sherif Amer, presenter of the program Happening in Egypt on MBC Egypt, announced the death of his father, Munir Amer.
Sherif Amer said, through his official account on Twitter, a while ago: On the shore of the Mediterranean he started his journey, and on the same beach he ended it.
The journalist Sharif Amer added: My father and my teacher are gone, the respected journalist Mounir Amer is gone.
Munir Amer is known for his important political writings in Al-Ahram newspaper, the weekly supplement of Friday and the Good Morning magazine, in addition to being one of the founders of Rosal Youssef magazine.
