2023-09-27 22:51:53

It’s been nearly four years since former PlayStation boss Shawn Layden suddenly and mysteriously left Sony. This led to quite a few changes at the company, as the Japanese company’s gaming arm began to focus more on Europa, appointing Dutchman Hermen Hulst as head of PlayStation Studios and replacing Layden with Briton Jim Ryan. The final changes left many people disappointed. Leanne seems less of a gamer and more businesslike and intense. Well, we’ll soon find out how PlayStation fares without him. Jim Ryan has revealed that he will be retiring from PlayStation and Sony Interactive Entertainment on March 31 following 30 years at the company. On April 1, Hiroki Totoki will take over as SIE’s interim CEO while the company finds a suitable replacement (Shuhei Yoshida can be promoted if he wishes). Who would you like to take over and what changes would you like to see?
