The current spokesperson for the Presidency of the Republic, Jesús Ramírez Cuevas, and the head of the Mexican State Public Broadcasting System, Jenaro Villamil, will be part of Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo’s government team.
The president-elect confirmed this after meeting with them at her transition house.
–Are they (Ramirez and Villamil) going to be part of the team?
-Yes, we are all there.
However, the former head of government of Mexico City clarified that she has not yet decided who will be in charge of her government’s spokesperson role starting October 1.
In addition to Jesús Ramírez Cuevas, an official known for assisting President Andrés Manuel López Obrador every day in his “morning” conferences, and Jenaro Villamil, the meeting was attended by Rafael Barajas, “El Fisgón,” cartoonist and director of the National Institute of Political Training of Morena; as well as Paco Ignacio Taibo II, who will repeat as general director of the Fondo de Cultura Económica (FCE).
