A shocking frustrated femicide was recorded this Wednesday night in the commune of Lebu, Biobío Region, where a man tried to burn his partner alive.

According to the preliminary information, at regarding 10:00 p.m. a woman alerted the Carabineros that her partner, a 31-year-old subject, was assaulting her, in a completely drunk state.

The woman denounced that the man sprayed her with gasoline with the clear intention of setting her on fire. However, she managed to escape to the house of some relatives.

The subject followed her and in a criminal decision, began to throw Molotov cocktails at the building to try to start a fire. There were six bottles of beer loaded with fuel and a wick.

Fortunately, he did not achieve his goal.

It will be formalized on Friday

After a police operation, members of carabinieri They managed to arrest the defendant, who would face charges for frustrated femicide.

At the request of the Local Prosecutor’s Office, the Lebu Guarantee Court agreed to extend the detention until this Friday, July 7, the day on which the detention control hearing and subsequent formalization of charges would be held.
