The Saudi authorities announced, on Saturday, the arrest of a citizen and his referral to the Public Prosecution, following he hit a person with a car and assaulted another.
A video clip spread widely on social media, of a driver rushing towards two people in his car at a petrol station.
After hitting one of them with the car, he assaulted the other person, who was able to move quickly before the car hit him.
And the Saudi Public Security Agency issued a statement announcing the arrest of the aggressor citizen in the incident that took place in the Al-Baha region, in the south of the Kingdom, and referring him to the Public Prosecution.
The statement added that “those who published visual content are being arrested for violating the anti-cybercrime law.”
The Saudi authorities did not reveal other details regarding the incident or the reasons for the attack.
