Moscow. February, 15. INTERFAX.RU – One person died and many were injured during a shooting in Kansas City in the US state of Missouri, local media reported.
One person was shot at the end of a parade honoring the winners of the American football championship, or Super Bowl, according to city fire spokesman Michael Hopkins.
Three people are in critical condition, five are in serious condition, and six required medical attention.
In turn, Kansas City Police Chief Stacy Graves confirmed that one person was killed.
According to her, the number of wounded “might be from 10 to 15.”
Graves said the shooting happened on the west side of Union Station. When police arrived there, they took two people into custody.
According to media reports, approximately 1 million people were in downtown Kansas City on Wednesday, celebrating the victory of the local Kansas City Chiefs team in the championship.
More than 800 law enforcement officers attended the event.
