Washington: Six people were reportedly killed in a shooting at a Walmart store in Virginia, USA. International media reported that the manager of the store opened fire and later shot himself dead. Many people have been injured in the incident.
The incident happened around 10:12 am on Tuesday. The shooting took place at the Walmart store at Sam’s Circle. The BBC reported that 10 people died in the incident. Chesapeake Police Chief Leo Kosinki said several people were injured in the incident. Police are conducting a detailed search around the store.
The reason for the manager’s firing is unclear. A Wal-Mart employee told police that the store manager walked into the staff room and shot his co-workers. Virginia Senator Louie Lucas said that the incident is extremely painful and that a permanent solution to the continuous shootings in the United States will be found.
