Show jumper Maikel van der Vleuten wins bronze again at the Games

Showjumper Maikel van der Vleuten from Someren won bronze on Tuesday during the Olympic showjumping competition. He and two other riders remained faultless during the regular competition. However, in the jump-off he and his horse Beauville Z received four penalty points.

German Christian Kukuk won the race. Swiss Steve Guerdat came second.

Van der Vleuten also won individual bronze at the previous Games in Tokyo. At the Games in London in 2012 he won silver, with the national team.
