Actress Lena talks regarding stereotyping such characters if she plays a role in the film. Lena says that when she started getting regular mother roles following Ninte Moiteen, she said no more. Lena added that a similar decision was made when she was called permanently Siddique’s wife. Lena said these things in an interview given to Behindwoods Ice Channel. Siddique was also present for the interview along with Lena.
When told that Lena is playing the role of wife in this film, Siddiqa would say that Lena will not be cast as wife in every film. There have been occasions when that was said,’ said Lena. This time Siddique responded that I will put it where I have told.
‘After dinner, I said that I will not be doing mother roles for some time. And then everything that comes will be mother roles. Similarly, in every film following Vellimoonga, I was called as Siddiqui’s wife. This is going to be a stereotype. Decided not to do that anymore as an actor. I am happy regarding it. But when you see us in Ntali, you will feel a sense of freshness,’ said Lena.
Siddique shared a similar experience with Mammootty in Pokiri Raja. It’s time to do Pokiri Raja. Before that, I played the villain of Mammooka in Munnal.
