Siege of Soyapango, this is how more than 10,000 soldiers and police entered this city in El Salvador | News Univision Latin America

Images released by the government show military troops and police officers carrying heavy weapons, helmets, bulletproof vests and war vehicles entering the municipality of Soyapango, with a population of around 300,000. This city is considered an impenetrable place by the authorities. However, efforts to combat gangs have been marred by unjustified arrests and the denial of procedural rights to detainees.
