Diwan Library is organizing a ceremony to sign and discuss the book “Daoud Abdel Sayed… Cinema of Personal Concerns” by writer Alaa Khaled, on Wednesday, September 6, at 7:00 pm, at the library’s headquarters in Radio Cinema, in the downtown area.

Dawood Abdel Sayed.. The Cinema of Personal Concerns

In the book “Daoud Abdel Sayed… Cinema of Personal Concerns,” the writer Alaa Khaled presents a deep reading of the eighties generation in literature, this generation that intersects with the generation of new realism in cinema, and to which Dawood Abdel Sayed belongs.

The book contains a long dialogue that brings together several meetings between the director and the novelist that bear Abdel-Sayed’s point of view on his works. Cinema, and musician Rageh Daoud, regarding their experience with Dawood’s cinema, and their opinion on his work.

Alaa Khaled, an Egyptian poet and novelist, writer for Al-Tahrir newspaper and Akhbar Al-Adab newspaper, general supervisor, and one of the founders of “Amkan” magazine in Alexandria.
