Skipping the ‌Christmas Feast for Himalayan Trails

while many are gearing up⁣ for traditional Christmas⁢ celebrations, filled with feasts and family gatherings, some are opting for a less⁢ conventional path.‌ Presenter Silje ⁢Nordnes (40) is ⁣one such individual.

During her recent appearance on ⁤the ‍podcast “The Kåss ⁣furuseths,” Nordnes revealed ‌her plans to spend Christmas in Nepal⁢ with⁢ a friend. Instead of indulging ⁤in a traditional Christmas ‌dinner,⁢ she’ll be trekking through the majestic Himalayas.

“We are ⁢traveling on December 17th. Then there will be lentils and rice⁤ instead of Christmas food,” Nordnes​ shared.

The idea for this unconventional holiday ‌adventure originated ‌with her friend,but Nordnes embraced⁣ it wholeheartedly.

Initially hesitant, Nordnes admitted, “- she said⁣ she was going to Nepal and asked if I wanted to ⁢join.at first I thought ‘oh,​ that sounds cold and challenging,’ and was a bit ⁣doubtful​ whether I can do​ it or not.” The couple will embark on a 15-16 day journey, covering distances between 10 and 18 kilometers each day. ‌This challenging trek marks the fourth⁣ time Nordnes has chosen to spend the holidays away from home.

**A:** My friend initially suggested it, and the​ more we talked about it, ⁤the more excited I became.

**A:** We’ll be enjoying lentils and rice⁢ instead.I’m ‍sure it will be a memorable Christmas ⁤feast!
