Petra Vlhova leads the first leg of the slalom of the Soldeu World Cup finals. The Slovak is ahead of Leona Popovic (+0″32) and Anna Swenn Larsson (+0″56). The American Mikaela Shiffrin made an unusual fault and is in 4th place at 0″59, just ahead of Wendy Holdener (5th at 1″16) who will have to fight to get back on the podium. The second round is to follow from 1:20 p.m. on RTS2.

In search of her second success of the winter, Petra Vlhova is ahead of the Croatian Leona Popovic (2nd) by 0.32 and the Swedish Anna Swenn Larsson (3rd) by 0.56. Mikaela Shiffrin, who erased Ingemar Stenmark’s record by winning his 86th and 87th victories, is 4th at 0”59 from the Slovak.

Wendy Holdener, who defends her 2nd place in the World Cup for the discipline on Saturday, missed her case on this first course despite an excellent top. The Schwytzoise is 1”16 behind Petra Vlhova, whom she was ahead of by 80 points in the specialty classification before this race.

The other Swiss women entered in this penultimate event of the winter finished a little further. Michelle Gisin, 11th at 1”87, can nevertheless hope to sign her second top 10 of the season in slalom. Elena Stoffel is 14th at 2”03, while Camille Rast unfortunately experienced elimination at the end of the course.
