Smart pillow Xiaomi Mijia Smart Pillow will control the sleep of the owner

On the Xiaomi crowdfunding platform, a project of the Mijia Smart Pillow is presented, capable of taking various readings during the wearer’s sleep and displaying this information in a mobile application on a smartphone.

A special piezoelectric sensor is sewn inside the novelty. It tracks changes in heart rate, respiratory rate, snoring and user movements. In addition, monitoring of various phases of sleep is carried out.

The sensor is located in the center of Mijia Smart Pillow, and therefore does not interfere with rest. The pillow itself can be placed on the bed on either side. Power is provided by four AAA batteries, the charge of which is enough for regarding two months of operation.

Through Bluetooth, the pillow can communicate with the owner’s mobile device or connect to the Xiaomi smart device ecosystem. The shape of the pillow is reported to ensure a comfortable sleep, while the antibacterial coating prevents the growth of germs. Moreover, this coating retains 90% effectiveness following twenty washes.

Xiaomi Mijia Smart Pillow can currently be ordered for an estimated price of $37. In the future, the cost will rise to $43.
