Smart traffic lights in Linz allow buses to drive earlier than cars – innovations

Described as “corner-eyed” traffic lights, they can do much more than just peek around corners. New, intelligent traffic lights are currently being tested in Linz and will soon be used throughout Europe. As part of the X4ITS research project, digital communication between cars and traffic lights is to be tested.
