A mysterious ring of black smoke appeared in the sky over Williamsburg, Virginia, hovering for about 10 minutes before fading away completely, leaving passersby stunned.
In the morning hours of last Tuesday, August 20, thousands of reports came in reporting the presence of a sort of smoke ring in the sky. Hundreds of motorists saw it while traveling on Interstate 64, while others filmed it while on foot, as in the case of the video by user @cristalelizawest, who posted it on TikTok.
Photos and videos of the apparition quickly circulated on social media, with users still wondering what the phenomenon could be due to.

The other sightings
A similar case occurred in Venezuela in June, where a similar cloud was spotted and captured on video; just a month later, another black smoke ring was photographed floating in an orange and pink sunset in Pearland, Texas.
The origin of these strange sudden phenomena, which have been affecting America for some months, has not yet been established by the competent authorities.
