Social economy KV: Union wants increase of 15 percent

With the demand for a wage and salary increase of 15 percent, or at least an increase of 400 euros gross per month, GPA and Vida entered into collective bargaining negotiations on Tuesday evening for the approximately 130,000 employees in the private, mostly non-profit, social and health companies that are in of the Austrian social economy. The unions are also calling for a further reduction in working hours by two to 35 hours per week, more vacation, more money for stepping in and a higher mileage allowance.
