The Spanish Federation of Mountain Sports and Climbing (FEDME) and the Andalusian Federation of Mountain Sports, Climbing and Hiking (FADMES), stand in solidarity with the athlete Jenni Hermoso and Spanish women’s football, while denouncing the totally unacceptable behavior of the President of the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) during the World Cup final in Australia and New Zealand when they proclaimed themselves 2023 FIFA World Champions.

The FEDME has participated in the extraordinary meeting on August 28 of the Board of Directors of the Spanish Sports Association (ADESP), which brings together 63 of the 66 national sports federations and among which is not the RFEF.

In it, and on behalf of the vast majority of the national sports federations, it has been unanimously agreed to publish a statement, to which FADMES adheres, thus demonstrating their joint rejection of the lack of respect and exemplary role of the President of the RFEF .
