SON(g)’S: A Musical Journey of Post-COVID Life and Family Reunion

2023-12-05 19:00:00

An album to turn the page on “covid life” but perfectly anchored in this new era, at a time of family reunion and working at home.

It was in 2007 that Philippe Deyrieu began his career, the fruit of his meeting with Jean-Patrick Capdevielle who will produce his first titles. A beautiful meeting in the Montparnasse district de Paris, which has served as his artistic name ever since.

After having signed the soundtrack of the film “The Heart of Men” by Marc Esposito at the cinema, and following having collaborated with Cali and Bernard Lavilliers on his previous albums, MontparnassE is back with “SON(g)’S”. An album title that imposed as evidence since the artist called on a musician he knows well, who lives under the same roof: his eldest son, Hugo to whom he very quickly entrusted the arrangements of his new compositions.

12 songs take shape with some new collaborations on the program, alongside others, recurring, necessary, almost vital with artists who became friends.
