SEGA announced the release of Sonic Frontiersjust in time for the holiday season, the November 8, 2022. The game will be available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, as well as Switch and also on Steam.
For the occasion, SEGA unveiled a brand new trailer which offers exclusive footage of Sonic’s new open world, as well as a first look at the second island of the Starfall Icelands: Ares Island.
Worlds collide in this new high-speed adventure. Sonic finds himself lost on an ancient island filled with strange creatures following going in search of the Chaos Emeralds. Players will explore a stunning world filled with action, adventure, and mystery, while battling hordes of super-powered enemies. They will then have to cross the islands of Starfall Islands at full speed and reach new heights by freely exploring the open area. Welcome to the new evolution of games Sonic.
