South Dakota Wraps Up Fall Season with Fourth-Place Finish at Bryan National Men’s Collegiate Invitational

BROWNS SUMMIT, N.C.— South Dakota wrapped up their fall season with a fourth-place finish at the Bryan National Men’s Collegiate invitational. The team logged a three-round score of 877, their second-lowest this fall.

Logan Hamak garnered his first top-10 finish this season, finishing in eighth place following a 2-under score (70) in round two and an even-par score (72) in round three. Hamak carded a 215 overall, a 54-hole tournament personal best. Hamak’s 70 in round two was a season best low-round.

Nick LaMotte moved up 17 places today to finish 18th individually. LaMotte carded six birdies in round three for a 71 (1-under).  Cole Witherow also improved his standing today, moving up nine places to finish 26th individually. Witherow carded three birdies in round three for a 73 (1-over).

Max Schmidtke finished the tournament in 35th place, recording a 74 (2-over) in round two and a 76 (4-over) in round three. Joe Rohlwing totalled 246 for 84th place individually.

Parker Etzel competed individually for the Coyotes. Etzel played a tournament best round in round three scoring 73 (1-over) for a 58th place finish.

The Coyotes will hit the course once more in the spring at the World Golf Village Collegiate Invitational Feb. 19-20 in St. Augustine, Fla.
