The Verviers prosecutor’s office has just announced, this Tuesday morning, that the Spanish police had intercepted Adrien Rompen. The latter was convicted in 2017 for the murder of his wife.

In early June, he took advantage of an authorized outing to pack up. He never returned to the Marche-en-Famenne prison where he was incarcerated. The police had lost track of him, until Monday, therefore.

According to the prosecution, quoted by our colleagues from RTL Info, the repatriation procedure is already underway.
