Representatives of the Spanish striker Santi Mina offered the player’s services to several top MIR RPL clubs, but were refused, reports Metaratings.ru.

According to the source, Mina, who has the status of a free agent, was ready to move to Russia, but the clubs did not show interest in the player because of his reputation and criminal case in his homeland. In May 2022, the footballer was sentenced to four years in prison by an Almeria court for committing sexual assault.

Meena is currently out on bail as he has filed an appeal in a higher court. During the summer transfer window, the media reported that the striker was close to moving to Sampdoria, but protests from the fans of the Italian club prevented the deal from going through.

In Spain, Mina played for Valencia and Celta. In the national championship, he played 268 matches, in which he scored 63 goals and made 25 assists. In 2019, the Transfermarkt portal estimated the player’s market value at 30 million euros.
