On the eve of May 1, 2023, Martin Thür first wanted to know from SPÖ federal party leader Pamela Rendi-Wagner whether the course of the SPÖ is right. It is quite obviously an allusion to May 1st, 2016, when Werner Faymann found himself faced with numerous “Werner, the course is right!” boards and at the same time a special class whistling concert on Vienna’s Rathausplatz. “The course of the SPÖ is definitely not right, if you look at the cross shots of the last few years,” says Rendi-Wagner in the “ZiB 2”. These cross shots would have damaged both the party and her as party leader.
