The San Antonio Spurs will donate $40,000 to local organizations in celebration of Women’s History Month, culminating in a “Barbie Game Day” event on Sunday, March 8, the team announced.
The donation, according to the Spurs, is intended to honor women’s leadership. The March 8 game will feature Eileen Collins, a former NASA astronaut, as a guest of honor. The team is promoting the event as a way to celebrate women’s contributions and inspire future generations.
Fans can purchase exclusive Barbie-themed ticket packages, including Barbie jerseys and belt bags, for the game. These packages are limited to 250 and require pre-purchase, according to a post on the Spurs’ Facebook page. A pregame party is scheduled to begin at 5:00 p.m. Local time.
Interest in Spurs-branded Barbie merchandise extends beyond the game day promotion. A search of online marketplaces reveals a variety of San Antonio Spurs Barbie dolls for sale, including vintage and newer models. Listings on eBay show dolls from 1998, featuring the team’s uniform, selling for between $60 and $165, depending on condition and packaging. Other Barbie-related items, such as a Barbie Fashion Frontier Doll with silver spurs, are also available.
The team is also offering a San Antonio Spurs Barbie Game Day All Pink 2026 Personalized Baseball Jersey through Thorstyle.com. The jersey is available for purchase now, with estimated delivery between March 13 and March 20.
