St. Louis defeated Minnesota and advanced to the second round of the NHL playoffs – 05/13/2022

TASS, May 13. St. Louis defeated the Minnesota 5-1 at home on Friday in the sixth game of the National Hockey League (NHL) playoff series.

As part of the winners, goals were scored by Nick Leddy (15th minute), Ryan O’Reilly (30), Tyler Bozak (34), Vladimir Tarasenko (39), Colton Paraiko (59). The losers scored Matt Damba (47).

The Russian forward of “St. Louis” Alexei Toropchenko scored an assist, his compatriot defender “Minnesota” Dmitry Kulikov also gave an assist.

The score in the series to four wins was 4-2 in favor of “St. Louis”. In the next round, the team will play Colorado, who defeated Nashville in the first round (score in the series 4-0).

At the end of the regular season, “St. Louis” took third place in the Central Division, “Minnesota” became the second. The teams played each other for the third time in the NHL playoffs, in 2015 Minnesota won the series with a score of 4-2, in 2017 St. Louis was stronger (4-1).

Louis has won the Stanley Cup once, in 2019. Minnesota has never won a trophy. The current NHL playoff winner is Tampa Bay.

In another match of the game day, Edmonton defeated Los Angeles (4: 2) on the road and equalized the score in the series (3-3). The next game between the teams will take place on May 15 at the Edmonton home court.
