In an interview with LCN, the winner of the first edition of the Quebec television phenomenon, Wilfred LeBouthillier, said he was particularly touched by the ovation given to him by the audience at the Bell Center on January 12, during his performance of “La Ballad of Jean Batailleur.
“The emotions I experienced at that moment, it was so intense! To receive the love of the public like that is very touching. It hits you, you are destabilized and for me, at that moment, I still have one sentence left to say and I wonder how I am going to sing without shaking my voice,” said the singer, visibly still moved. .
“It’s a moment I will never forget,” he added.
A gathering of nostalgics
Furthermore, Wilfred and his 13 companions were all touched by the enthusiasm of the fans, 20 years following the first season of Star Académie.
“Everyone was going back 20 years. The great nostalgic people of this world were all present,” says the New Brunswicker.
“It was such a significant event that I have the impression that everyone remembers 20 years ago what stage of life they were going through,” he adds. [àtravers[quelleétapedelavieilspassaient»ajoute-t-il
For the 14 ex-academicians, the last two Fridays were “magical”, says Wilfred LeBouthillier.
“As artists, we have all evolved over a 20-year career. There are some today who no longer do that, but the fact remains that for those who do that today, it just makes the show better than it was 20 years ago,” indicates the Acadian artist. .
The two shows of the last days will remain forever engraved in his memory.
“When we started this adventure, we started it a little naively. We were young and it seems that at that time, we perhaps didn’t appreciate moments like that as much, but 20 years later, today, we savored every second that passed,” maintains the singer.
Even if Wilfred knows that this meeting was only for two evenings, he would like to repeat the experience, perhaps for the 30th anniversary of the 2003 vintage of Star Académie.
“You can never say… In any case, I want to relive that with the whole gang,” he says.
