Air travelers have to be prepared for longer waiting times
Everyone who starts their vacation by plane should be patient. Because of the tense staff situation at the security checkpoints and at check-in, there might be longer waiting times, especially at peak times.
Saturday focus in Düsseldorf
On Saturday it hit Düsseldorf Airport in particular. According to the airport, longer queues with waiting times of between 10 and 60 minutes formed at the security checks in the departure area during peak times in the morning and mid-morning.
According to a spokesman, it was by no means comparable to the sometimes chaotic conditions at the beginning of the summer holidays.
