The Ministry of Health announced on Monday the start of the seasonal flu vaccination campaign from October 17 for the 2022-2023 season in basic health centers as well as in private pharmacies.
In order to avoid serious complications which sometimes lead to death and which can only be avoided by prevention, including vaccination, the Ministry of Health is appealing to people, in particular those with chronic diseases (diabetes, kidney failure, pulmonary disease , cardiac, obese and asthmatic people), pregnant women and the elderly as well as children with chronic illnesses, to get vaccinated once morest the seasonal flu.
The ministry has called on people who are less at risk to take advantage of the opportunity of the seasonal flu vaccination campaign to get vaccinated once morest the Covid 19 virus to prevent both viruses at the same time (people who have no not previously vaccinated and those affected by the booster dose).
The ministry clarified that it is possible to receive both vaccines on the same day without any repercussions, provided that each dose is injected into a different shoulder. If the person has benefited from one of the two vaccines, it is necessary to wait 15 days to receive the second.
