As part of the vaccination against Covid-19 which began on Monday in various hospitals in the country, the CHR de la Citadelle carried out the first injection on Monday around 9 a.m. A former radiotherapy area has been fitted out to set up boxes. Two hundred people will receive the first dose of Pfizer vaccine today. Two hundred more people will be vaccinated on Tuesday.

“We start with the staff who revolve around the Covid room. The other members of staff will follow in an established order of priority, ”specifies the spokesperson for the CHR de la Citadelle.

The hospital received nine hundred doses from the company Pfizer, slightly less than the 1,100 previously announced. “This will allow us to ensure the vaccination this week and then we will continue as and when the arrivals come. It is estimated that it will take three weeks to cover all the staff ”.

The Citadel CHR employs around 4,000 people, including 500 doctors. More than 90% of staff have signed up to receive the Covid-19 vaccine.
