Start-ups do not contribute enough to productivity growth in Belgium

The Planning Bureau publishes this Friday “A working document” on one of the facets of productivity: entrepreneurial dynamics. Do not go four ways: it is more than perfectible in Belgium. The study, originally based on data from 2003 to 2017, and extended for certain parameters to the situation during this health crisis, clearly shows that the entrepreneurial engine operates at low speed in Belgium. “Initially, it was for me to see the link between entrepreneurial dynamics and productivity growth”, explains Michel Dumont, author of the study.
