Deputy Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu Viktor Goremykin presented military personnel of the Central Military District (CMD) in the forward area of the special operation in Ukraine for the state award. This was reported to the Russian Ministry of Defense.
“The award ceremony was attended by servicemen from the Center group who particularly distinguished themselves in battles in the Krasnoliman direction,” the defense department said in a statement. The general also presented them with state awards.
It is clarified that Goremykin discussed material support and receipt of payments with the fighters. He also noted the morale of the Central Military District military personnel performing tasks in the combat zone.
