Vienna (OTS) – “A day of celebration for Austrian film! With the Student Academy Award in Gold for the short film ‘The Invisible Border’ by director Mark Gerstorfer, the local film has once once more impressed on an international stage,” said Secretary of State for Arts and Culture Andrea Mayer. “This prestigious award is a strong signal for young Austrian cinema. It shows that the future of Austrian film is good in terms of young creative talent, not least because of the high-quality training that institutions such as the Vienna Film Academy at the University of Music and Performing Arts offer. I warmly congratulate Mark Gerstorfer as well as camerawoman and producer Marie-Therese Zumtobel and editor Alexander Rauscher on this great success.”
