Vienna (OTS) – Acting great Heidelinde Weis wrote international theater, cinema and television history and also demonstrated her multifaceted talent as a singer and speaker. At home on the stages in Austria and Germany, she achieved great fame through her film career and became a celebrated audience favorite. For decades she shaped the stage and television landscape and gave her viewers countless moments of happiness and joy. It was only a few weeks ago that she appeared together with Klaus Maria Brandauer at Vienna’s Burgtheater, which demonstrated her great acting and speaking skills. The two acting legends read from the correspondence between Christine Lavant and Werner Berg and Heidelinde Weis brought the writers’ poetry to life with the greatest sensitivity. We will miss Heidelinde Weis dearly. My condolences go out especially to her friends and her numerous companions,” said Art and Culture State Secretary Andrea Mayer.
