The host Thiruvananthapuram, defending champions Kozhikode, Kollam and Alappuzha entered the semi-finals of the state sub-junior basketball championship held at the Mar Gregorios School Indoor Flood Light Basketball Court in Thiruvananthapuram. Kozhikode defeated Kannur (44-–-24) in the first girls quarter-final. Thiruvananthapuram defeated Ernakulam (31—–30) in the girls third quarter-final. Kozhikode will face Kollam who defeated Thrissur (29—-20). Thiruvananthapuram will face Alappuzha who defeated Kottayam (50—–10).
