Thiruvananthapuram: The State Track Cycling Championship kicked off at LNCPE Velodrome, Karyavattam. LNCPE Principal Dr. G. Kishore flagged off the competitions. The championship will feature 14 district teams and will be contested in 31 events in boys’ and girls’ sub-junior, junior and youth categories and men’s and women’s categories.
The championship is also a selection event for the National Championship and National Games held at Ranchi. Cycling Federation of India Selection Committee Chairman Maxwell Trevor inaugurated the State Track Cycling Championship, Cycling Federation All India Treasurer S.S. Sudheesh Kumar, Kerala Cycling Association President B. Jayaprasad, Treasurer Vinod Kumar and others participated in the flag off of the championship.
