It is at the Grand Salon du Botanique that the pianist Stephane Ginsburgh will present a concert around four composers of the most evocative and jubilant of the 20th century.
The Hungarians Béla Bartók and György Ligeti frame Erwin Schulhoff and Sergei Prokofiev in this recital of cycles of short pieces.

Béla Bartók transcended the musical folklore of his country. He reinvents the vital sounds of popular instruments, the nocturnal rustling and the frantic race of the hunted animal.
György Ligeti, great heir of his elder, incorporates a multicultural imagination that goes from his native country to Central Africa to create vertiginous music for polyrhythmic pianist!
Erwin Schulhoff, a polymorphous Austro-Czech musician and Dadaist, was one of the first to combine the classical style and the jazz forms of his time.
Finally, Sergei Prokofiev, a gifted Russian born in Ukraine, takes up in this little performed cycle music composed for opera and cinema.
