Jeddah: Decision to waive fees and fines for stolen vehicles in Saudi Arabia. The benefit is available from the time the vehicle is stolen to the time it is recovered. The decision was taken in a cabinet meeting chaired by Saudi ruler King Salman.

The owner will be exempted from fines and fees from the time the vehicle is reported stolen. This benefit will continue until the stolen vehicle is recovered. No matter what type of violation the thieves commit with the vehicle, it will not be added to the original owner’s name. Failure to renew Fahs and Istimara of the vehicle due to vehicle theft will not be charged.

Therefore, if the vehicle is stolen, it should be reported to the concerned authorities immediately. Otherwise the original owner will be responsible for all violations caused by the vehicle. The decision was made in a cabinet meeting chaired by Saudi ruler King Salman at Al Salama Palace in Jeddah.
