European stock indices recorded strong losses at the end of the week’s trading, as follows:

  • The Stoxx 600 index is down 1.2% by the end of trading.
  • The Italian MIB index is down 1.1% at the close.
  • The British FTSE index is the least affected among European stocks by the end of trading, by up to 0.1% only.
  • The French CAC index is down 1.1% at the close.
  • The Spanish IBEX index recorded a noticeable loss of 0.8% by the end of trading.
  • The German DAX index is the biggest loser among European stocks at the close, with up to 1.5%.

By the end of trading on Thursday, European stocks fell significantly due to concerns regarding European inflation following the release of the results of the European Central Bank meeting, which talked regarding tightening monetary policy to curb high inflation recently, which had a negative impact on European stock trading at the close.
