On June 28, at the Mariinsky Palace, during the signing of the plan for legislative work of the parliament and government for 2023-2024, the governor said that the city had been successfully defended, the press service of the Legislative Assembly reported.
“You and I succeeded in the most important thing – we did not surrender the city, we managed to defend it,” Beglov said.
The governor added that the city now has a “stable political environment.” The mayor also positively assessed the development of the city’s economy, explaining that it is stable.
“We have no squabbles, and those difficult days that we had to go through show once once more that our joint activities are aimed precisely at the stability and development of the city, at supporting the president,” the head of the city concluded.
He added that “if this were not the case, then the dirty business would occupy all the main branches of our urban economy” and “the situation would be completely different.” The mayor noted that in this case there would also be no budget in the amount of 1.163 trillion rubles.
“We were under serious economic pressure, certain obligations were imposed by the implementation of the NWO. All decisions were made quickly, efficiently, but most importantly, we did not stop the development of our city,” said Alexander Belsky, Chairman of the Parliament, during the ceremony.
