Kabul | Suicide attack outside the Afghanistan Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Police said five civilians were killed. Meanwhile, a Taliban official put the death toll at 20.
The attack took place at 4 pm local time. Chavera tried to enter the ministry but failed. Then it exploded outside.
Embassies of many countries including Turkey and China are located in this area. The Islamic State in Khorasan Province (ISIS-K), a local variant of IS, claimed responsibility for the attack. More than 40 people were injured.
