After effort comes comfort. The first edition of the Hay Festival takes place this Saturday and Sunday July 1 and 2 at a place called “la clef des Champs” in Courfaivre, the organizers said in a statement on Thursday. This new event aims to celebrate the arrival of the summer season as well as the end of the hay season which requires hard work for farmers in the fields. She thus intends to be a “time of rest and celebration before resuming agricultural work”.
Several activities are on the program, from the throwing of straw bales to the various concerts, including pony rides and the presence of a bouncy castle for children. A spit-roasted wild boar will be served on Sunday lunchtime and a bar will be open from 5.30pm on Saturday. /comm-jad
