A senior woman and a male doctor of the Hospital Authority were charged with stealing regarding $1,600 in food from a supermarket in April. Until the hearing on August 11, pending the defense’s request for documents and legal opinions, the two defendants were each allowed to go out on bail of 500 yuan.

Defendants Zhao Mingyu (47 years old) and Zhuang Huimin (48 years old, female), both reported to be doctors. The charges allege that on April 23, 2022, they stole a watermelon, a honeydew melon, two packets of pudding, Two packs of blueberries, two packs of sashimi, one pack of sushi and one pack of chicken, with a total value of $1,632.8, are the property of Aeon (Hong Kong) Department Store Co., Ltd. The Chief Administrative Manager (Quality and Standards) of the Hospital Authority, Lau Ka Hian, said at a press conference on the epidemic yesterday that the case has entered the judicial process and there is no supplement to the case.

According to the data, Zhuang Huimin is the general administrative manager (infection and emergency affairs) of the Hospital Authority, and Zhao is an orthopedic surgeon.
