Supreme Court orders removal of barricades from outside all government and private buildings including Rangers Headquarters, Governor House and CM House – Pakistan

The Supreme Court, while hearing the petition of the victims of the Karachi Circular Railway (KCR) project, ordered the removal of encroachments outside government and private buildings, including the Rangers Headquarters, Governor House and CM House.

A 3-member bench headed by Chief Justice of Pakistan Qazi Faiz Isa at the Supreme Court Karachi Registry heard the petition of the victims of the Karachi Circular Railway Project.

During the hearing, the court directed the Sindh government to look into the case of the victims and said that there should be more punishment where the government commits encroachment.

The Chief Justice while talking to the Advocate General said that you don’t see where you come from? Headquarters, Governor, Chief Minister’s House have occupied the footpaths, including the Rangers headquarters have all occupied the footpaths, to which the Additional Attorney General replied that there are security issues and bomb attacks.

The Chief Justice directed that the court had ordered to pay compensation to the victims in three months, you should return the money to the people. The builder’s lawyer said that the remaining compensation would be given to the victims.
