Kolkata: Actor and former MP Suresh Gopi will hold the post of president of Satyajit Rai Film and Television Institute. The appointment is for three years. The actor will also hold the charge of the governing council chairman of the country’s leading film studies center during this period. Union Minister Anurag Thakur shared the news of Suresh Gopi’s appointment through social media.
The Union Minister felicitated the veteran actor for being selected to hold the post of Chairman of the Institute through a post shared on the X platform. In the post, he said that the actor’s prowess in the field of cinema will further enrich the institute and may his tenure be fruitful.
